Quick Easy Journal Project
I like to carry around the Moleskin pocket journals. Today my wife, Saun and I decided to make our own in place of going to the store to buy new ones. This makes them cheaper and we can personalize them as well.
First off we started with regular 8.5 x 11 inch paper and then a thicker card stock, (blue in this example) for the cover.
We cut them into 7 x 5.5 inch pieces. We also decided to use one of her craft edge punches to round the corners of the pages and the cover. In this example we used 10 sheets of white paper cut down to in the end make 20 pages.
Then we marked 3 points 3.5 inches one towards each end and one in the middle to make the spine. We used a stapler that has a 3.5 inch neck opening to reach the middle marks.
Then we fold them along the staple line and boom, done.
Here are just a few we made today and then one of my older store bought black ones to show comparison. Fun, easy, and quick little project.
