Mr Bigglesworth and the Human to Rabbit Ratio

This evening my wife Saun and I went to clean out our Mr. Bigglesworth the rabbit's cage and give him a nice bath. After cleaning out his cage, getting him nice and clean and dry, and back in his cage with some nice rabbit food, veggies, and fruit we took a moment to think about his age. We rescued Mr. Bigs July 22nd 2011 and when we rescued him he was already about 3 years old. That being said he would now be 10 years old. So Saun wondered what rabbit years to human years were. I mean they save the average dog to human years is 7, but what about our long eared friend here. So I went to searching. After comparing several pet sites and some veterinarian sites I have come to the decision on what a 10 year old rabbit would be in human years. Referring to the age ratios noted below our Mr. Bigs is around 75 years old in rabbit years. The overall consensus we have also found is that the average overall lifespan of a domestic rabbit is around 10 years. So for our Mr. Bigs even with his hair changing color some and losing a little weight in his old age he is looking pretty good for a Senior Citizen Rabbit.
