Skrímslasetrið (Skrimslasetur or the Icelandic Sea Monster
Museum) is a museum that is focused on the study of mysterious creatures
in their local oceans. The museum itself uses videos, pictures and oral
histories from witnesses of Iceland’s own water dwelling beasts. It
focuses on a number of different creatures including the Fjörulalli, the
Hafmaður and the Faxaskrímsli.
