Who are we kidding though... you came here to read about the story not ramble on about semantics. Go on scroll on!

  • The comic begins with Deadpool attacking and killing off the Fantastic Four. And it makes perfect sense seeing as the Fantastic Four was the first true superhero team and they had an immense influence on the evolution of the superhero genre.

Reed is shown to be sort of 'melting away'. Orange 'pieces' from Thing's body are scattered everywhere. Johnny is running away amidst flame and smoke when Deadpool catches up with him and slashes his throat. Susan appears and creates a force field inside Deadpool's head, blowing it to smithereens. But is stabbed through the heart when she turns her back onto him.
  • We then move to a flashback sequence - the X-Men bring a restrained Deadpool to a psychic facility to get him help. But the doctor is revealed to be a robotic clone of Psycho-Man who is trying to warp Wade's mind in order to enslave him and do his bidding. Wade escapes, but the effect of the experiments linger, rendering him even more mentally unstable and edging him on his crusade to end the Marvel Universe and the writers.
  • He then, with the help of an "God taser" brings down Uatu the Watcher who had been narrating the story since the beginning, and beheads him.
  • Wade then confronts his lifelong friend and idol, Spiderman and blows his head off.
  • This forces the Avengers' hand and they convene an emergency meeting to decide on how to tackle him. The ones present are Cap, Iron Man, Luke Cage, Wolverine, Hawkeye, Thor, Ms Marvel, and Spider Woman.

During the meeting Jarvis suddenly bursts in to inform the team that a whole host of Pym Particles are missing implying that Deadpool stole them and is hiding in the complex in a small size. A sudden explosion catches them off guard killing all but Luke and Thor.

Deadpool then confesses that he had mixed some miniaturized bombs in the coffee that Luke had, exploding from within and killing him. He then uses the Pym particle to enlarge a Mjolnir thrown at him and returning to Thor, thus crushing him.
  • He then engages the Hulk in a battle where he is torn and ripped apart by the Hulk who only "wants people to leave him alone". The Hulk then enters a cave and falls asleep, in the process reverting back to Banner's human form when Deadpool appears again and beheads him.
  • After having eliminated the FF, The Avengers and Spiderman, Deadpool shifts his focus to the mutant community.

He has Prof X hostage. Cyclops, Cannonball, Pixie and Emma Frost are killed first in an optic blast when Cyclops visor is covered by an unknown substance, followed by Gambit, Rogue, and Colossus by electrocution. Magneto is trapped in acidic jelly, Kitty in a perpetual hypercube sorts of structure.

Wolverine shows up, having survived the attack at the Avengers tower.

Deadpool kills Wolvering using a Carbonadium blade which renders his healing factor ineffective.
  • Dr Strange is shown stabbed through his heart in his home.
  • Deadpool blows the Punisher's brains out.
  • All this time Taskmaster had been hired by the friends and family of those killed by Deadpool to finish him off. They finally rendezvous in the swamps of the Man-Thing.

After a long battle, on Deadpool's cue, the Taskmaster senses the arrival of Man Thing, 'feels fear' and is burned by the power of the Man Thing.
  • Deadpool then talks to the Man Thing and implores him to help him in his crusade to end his continued existence through life, death, and repeat. Man Thing sacrifices himself opening a portal for Deadpool.
  • The portal leads Deadpool to the 'center of the universe' - the room where the writers are discussing and developing the comic story. In the last 2 pages, both the universe merge in a paradoxical manner where Deadpool is exactly doing what the writers are saying, making it impossible to distinguish reality from fiction.

The series ends with Deadpool becoming aware of the reader and telling them that he is coming for them when he is done with the writers.
