With the step into season 16 Criminal Minds took a transition into "Evolution". This flip in story-line arch style is a change from the previous 15 season with the underlying criminal element being a continuing antagonist. The previous season had a occasional back line antagonist that spanned a few episodes with each episode focused on a new criminal element. With the new season 16 they switched up adding the title line "Evolution" and then having a main front row antagonist with the other criminal elements take a slight back seat so to speak in a reverse of roles. They have also pulled the internal DOJ/BAU tug of war to the front a little more than the previous focus points like with Hotch. The wifey and I binge watched the 1st 5 episodes of 16 that have come out so far... we see potential in it. There does seem to be a little bit of something missing that we can't put our finger on though... I mean it could be a obvious item like the absence of Reid or Morgan, but overall we both like it so far. When the next episodes start to come out we are anticipating where the next episode will lead and if Reid will reprise his role at all before the end of the season?
