Postcards ready to go...

Sat down and wrote out some post cards to send off to random people across the world via Post Crossings. Sending one to Germany, The Netherlands, and Finland this time around.

I wonder where I will get random return post cards from this time?

The Hu and the sounds of Mongolian Metal

The Hu is a Mongolian band that plays heavy metal / folk metal with Mongolian instrumentation, including the Morin khuur, and includes Mongolian throat singing. The band was aiming to release its first album in 2019, an album they said they had worked on for seven years. Two videos on YouTube released in the fall of 2018 had garnered over seven million views by January 2019, according to NPR.The album's title is Gereg, for a diplomatic passport from the time of Genghis Khan. The band calls their style of music "hunnu rock", hu being a Mongolian root word for "human".

Check them out on...

I think I need to sort my books...

My wife was snapping some pictures of some of our book shelves to show a friend and then I realized.... I think I need to sort our book collection. We have tons of books, I mean way over a thousand in our collection. There are books literally in ever room of the house except the bathroom and laundry room, (unless you count the occasional puzzle book taken to the bathroom).Yeah I think I have an addiction.

Not only do we have all the books in our personal collection we also run a Little Free Library out front of our house. We have a separate storage room in our basement full of about 1500 books to cycle to the little library

( *Side note: check here for a Little Free Library in your town https://littlefreelibrary.org/  )

Here are just a few of the random pictures she took. This, unfortunately, is not even the tip of the iceberg of our collection.
